Frequently asked questions

Here are some FAQs to help answer any queries or questions you might have. If you require any additional help please don’t hesitate to get in touch by email at info@lowerkeatsglamping.co.uk

When can I check in and out?

Check in is from 4 pm and we will try to ensure that lodges are ready but occasionally it is not possible due to us finding a very dirty lodge!
You may be able to access your lodge early if it is ready – BUT please text to check before arriving (as it may not always be possible due to the time needed to make the lodges beautiful again for each new set of guests). If you do not get a reply we are probably still hard at work! We may need to direct you to a lovely place to visit for the afternoon if you are too early!
Check out is by 10 am on your departure day – please do try to depart promptly and leave the lodges in a clean and tidy state. We will total up your spend in the honesty shop the evening before and contact you with the total amount payable. Please pay before you leave.

Do you allow pets?

We accept dogs, a maximum of two in each lodge. We charge a supplement of £25 per dog and provide dog beds and two bowls for use during their stay, please just let us know on the booking form. Guest dogs must be on leads at all times and not be left alone in the lodges. We love our Springer Spaniel pup Luna and are sure she will love to greet you on your arrival. Please drive slowly down the drive down to the campsite and let us know if would rather not have a friendly greeting from her.  Assistance and Guidedogs may stay for free, just let us know on your booking form so we know to leave the doggie welcome pack ready for you.

Are towels provided?

All towels and bedding are provided with the exception of beach towels.

Is the accommodation non-smoking?

Yes.

Is there a cot/high chair?

Travel cots and high chairs are available upon request, please let us know and we will ensure they are in your lodge waiting for you on arrival.  All lodges have sets of melamine crockery and we also provide changing mats when a high chair or travel cot is booked.

How far is Lower Keats to the nearest beach?

It’s eight miles to the closest beach Lyme Regis which is a 15 minute drive but check out our ‘explore pages’ for information about the closest and more remote beaches.

Is there broadband/wifi?

We do not have wifi but most mobile networks are able to secure 4G in the meadow.

Do you provide facilities for washing and drying clothes

We don’t have a site washing machine (but we will try to help you out in an emergency!) All lodges will have airers for drying out wet clothes.

Can I drive to the lodge and unpack the car?

You may drive to the drop off zone in the camping field but then all luggage needs to be transported 30-100m by wheel barrow to the lodges. Cars must then be returned to the car park immediately to ensure the safety of our meadow for children. (We will issue fines to owners leaving cars in the field!! – which will be donated to support our chosen charity The Jurrassic Coast Trust Ltd).
