Season 6 Highlights!
Thank you to all our lovely guests who came to stay last year.
2022 saw international holiday travel return and it was wonderful to welcome so many visitors back from overseas again. We are closed down for the winter now, but already counting the days til we throw open the tent doors and welcome you all again.

We can’t guarantee British weather, but can make magical memories, come rain or shine! Book soon to secure a hot tub for this year.
For anyone that missed out on a stay with us last year; here are the additions for 2022:
To the lodges
Fresh hedgerow flowers were added to each lodge table. This year we switched to the Ecover range of natural cleaning products for all our cleaning, and have moved to a local ethical supplier, Clipper, for our tea, hot chocolate, and instant coffee. Listening to your feedback we added an extra mirror to the king bedroom partition walls and added a handy little tote bag to the king bed frame for storing glasses, watches & phones, etc. Added extra-long fluffy hot water bottles and new enamelware for the woodburning stoves.
Outside
Accessibility – Gary and Roy made adaptations to the honesty shop by widening the path to the shop and also to Beer lodge making it more accessible with a front ramp to the deck.
An agricultural mule (4×4 vehicle not a donkey) joined the team making our housekeepers’ work much easier on rainy changeover days, along with 6 shiny new wheelbarrows ready for luggage, carrying wood, and races too.
Policies
We are proud that every year we take steps towards making Lower Keats a more sustainable, accessible business, minimising our footprint on the natural world and improving our rural accessibility. Have a read of our new sustainability and accessibility policies for the site.
Food
Food Hygiene – This year Linda achieved top score/5 stars for our first food hygiene inspection which enabled us to cook meals in-house here on the farm. The farm-made meals were very popular, with us having to restock the shop freezer regularly!
Pizza Nights
Pizza nights continued twice a week; these are an easy option for dinner and a great way to meet others staying on the site, with many a glass of wine or beer consumed watching the sunset. Send your favourite or unusual toppings for this season to linda@lowerkeatsglamping.co.uk we always like to try new ideas. (We can both admit to eating too many pizzas again this year!
Animals
Gary is famous for his animal-feeding farm tours; keeping the smaller Lower Keats visitors occupied and parents too, as they join him to feed our farmyard animals during their stay. The lambs, piglets, calves’ chickens, and ducks will be ready and waiting for your stay. And of course, Luna our new Springer pup can’t wait to meet you all too. If you would like to stay in the 2023 school holidays, you will need to hurry as we only have a few dates left!
Enjoy bottle-feeding the baby lambs during your stay (look at these waggly tails). The lambs favourite trick is escaping out of the field gate each time it is opened, for a quick trot around the car park, and back into the field, to eat their food either from their trough or hands of guests. The two little piggies enjoy being massaged from a young age, and by the end of the season enjoy a good old rub on their backs. Did you manage the tail trick during your stay? Our newborn calves are a great hit with adults and children alike, many a finger, jumper, or cardigan was sucked and slobbered on.
Reviews
Yet again thanks to all our guests for leaving such lovely reviews and positive feedback; both online and in our lodge guest books. Every season over winter, these are added to the website and each fabulous review reaffirms to us what wonderful stays you all have at Lower Keats.😊 Do have a read of the Testimonials on our website, you might see yours. If you have yet to leave us an online review (TripAdvisor/Facebook/Google etc) – please don’t delay, your information really helps guests decide to stay with us. All online reviewers are put into our annual draw for £150 voucher off a stay or spend in our honesty shop.
Hot Tubs
As our last guests departed, and the lodges were tucked up yet again for their winter sleep, you might be forgiven for thinking we would be having a rest… but over this winter Gary is busy installing the sunken wood-fired hot tubs to three of the lodges. Keep an eye on socials for their imminent arrival and progress of the build.
In no time at all we will filling up those hot tubs, planting up pots, restocking the shop and setting up the lodges, unzipping our canvases, ready to welcome our first guests of the 2023 season on Friday 31st March.
