We are located in a fantastic position 15 minutes from the coast and in the heart of the Devon countryside, with rolling hills, woodland and meadows to explore. Explore the Jurassic Coast with beautiful beaches, towns and villages. Enjoy walks through Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty or visit historic and cultural properties inland. Our local town

Situated on the River Axe, the attractive ancient market town of Axminster lies in the beautiful Axe Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Lyme Regis

Lyme Regis sits in the heart of the Jurassic Coast With breath-taking views and hundreds of years of charm and character it’s well worth a visit. The famous Cobb (harbour) is the town’s most significant landmark, built during the thirteenth century and made famous by ‘The French Lieutenant’s Woman’ by local author John Fowles. Charmouth

Famous for Fossils

The nearby town of Charmouth offers fantastic fossil hunting opportunities from the Heritage Coast Centre which has hands on displays and information about fossils and fossil hunting. South West Coast Path

Be Active

Running

We’ve got beautiful countryside and country lanes surrounding us great for a run any time of day. Prefer something more organised? Try the Seaton Parkrun every Saturday morning at 9am along the Esplanade in Seaton.

Cycling

We’re very close to the traffic free, family friendly ‘Stop Line Way’ (Sustrans route 33). You can hop onto it at the Weybridge on the Road towards Axminster. It’s lovely off road route takes you through countryside, along cycle paths, ending up in Seaton through the gorgeous Seaton Wetlands. Alternatively cycle the opposite way up through Somerset for some lovely in land views.  Alternatively, on Route 33 cycle the opposite way up through Somerset for some lovely in land views along the purpose built traffic-free railway path from Chard to Illminster.

Watersports and Ocean

If you love the sea or watersports there are lots of opportunities in the local vicinity.

Stand-Up Paddle Boarding (SUP)

Try Stand up Paddle Boarding in Lyme Regis, Sidmouth or at Seaton with SB Watersports.

Canoeing

Paddle out onto the River Axe. Join one of the canoe safaris offered by the Axe Vale Canoe Club. or explore the waves at Lyme Regis coastline with Lyme Kayak Hire.

Swim in the sea

Jump into the clear blue waters from beaches at Beer, Seaton, Sidmouth or Lyme Regis.

Fishing
